We hold a yearly banquet during Easter that caters for the poor, widows, orphans and less privilege children by meeting their needs to demonstrate God’s love.
To fulfil this role adequately, an NGO was birthed named Royal Pillar Foundation (Certificate of incorporation No. CAC/IT?NO 58052), to provide a stronger pedestal and broader spectrum for the delivery of welfare services to the poor and less privileged people in Nigeria with the vision of a holistic transformation of the indigent community for a better life based on the philosophy of godliness, accountability, compassion, character and service.
Among the focus groups of our past welfare program are In-mates of Kirikiri Maximum Prison (Male Section), physically challenged persons (e.g blind, lame, deaf and dumb), poor and traumatized widows – some of whom have been supported with business capital, house rental payments, payment of medical bills, food and clothing; displaced flood victims in Lagos State, indigent orphans and fatherless children.
In 2012, the foundation set up a scholarship fund initiative christened EDU- LIFELINE 100 (ADOPT A CHILD FOR SCHOOL SCHEME). The scheme is aimed at enlisting at least 100 indigent orphans and fatherless children in to the scholarship award roll at any point in time.
29 children have so far benefited from the scholarship awards under the scheme; these include tertiary student (3), secondary school students (16) and primary school pupils (10). One of the beneficiaries at the tertiary level has graduated from Federal University of Technology (FUTA), Owerri in 2014.
